Preparing your migration
Please check the following steps to migrate your Apps, Teams, Builds and Distribution Sites to the new platform.
Step 1 - Choosing between Personal and Organization accounts
Personal Organizations will be automatically created when registering a new account (and you only can own one) so now it’s time to decide whether you want to stay in your Personal Account or create a new Organization for your company.
Note that Free plans are only available under Personal Organizations.
If you decide to create a new Organization please follow this tutorial.
Step 2 - Creating your Apps into the new Dashboard
Now that you have chosen your organization type (and upgraded the in the case), you can now start creating your first App into Applivery v3.
Step 3 - Recovering your Builds from Applivery v2
Now that you have created your App in the previous step, it’s time to recover your old versions from the old Dashboard. Go to the old Dashboard, select your App and navigate to the Builds section (from the left side menu). Now click the green download button at the very end of each build.
Step 4 - Uploading your Builds to Applivery v3
Now that you have all your builds downloaded, you can follow this easy tutorial to get them uploaded into Applivery.
Step 5 - Inviting people to you App
You can invite your teammates and end-users to your App or Organization (depending on how far do you want them to access). Take a look to the following tutorial that deeply explains how invitations work in the new Applivery.
Step 6 - Configuring your App Store and migrating your Distribution Sites
First, you have to choose whether you want to have a Public or Private App Store. That’s something you can configure under the Store settings (left side menu).
As the last step, you have to take a look to your Distribution Sites in the Old Dashboard and map them into the new Applivery. It’s important to take into considerations two important concepts:
- Each Application created in the new Applivery automatically gets a unique URL Slug based on the App name you selected when creating the App in the Step 1.
- Distribution Sites in Applivery v2 normally have the following URL structure: applivery.com/your-app whereas it looks as follow in Applivery v3: your.applivery.com/your-app
You can customize App URL Slugs under the App Settings.
