When managing Android devices with Applivery, it\u2019s not just about installing or blocking apps. Many applications allow you to adjust their behavior through what are known as Managed Properties<\/span><\/strong>. These properties let you preconfigure certain aspects of apps (such as URLs, permissions, default behavior, etc.) even before the user opens them for the first time. Everything is done from the Applivery portal\u2014no need to touch the device.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What are Managed Properties?\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Managed Properties<\/strong> are configuration options that an app offers when it is managed through an MDM system. For example, an email app might allow you to preconfigure the server, port, and whether SSL is required.<\/p>

Applivery automatically detects these properties in compatible apps and allows you to modify them from the management panel.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How to configure them?\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Once in the Applivery Dashboard<\/a>, navigate to Device Management > Policies <\/span>(1)<\/span>. Select the Android policy where you want to configure Managed Properties.<\/p>

Then, go to the Apps<\/span><\/strong> (2) <\/span>section in the left-hand menu, and\u00a0click the + Add App<\/span> button (3)<\/span>.<\/p>

Choose an app from the list, and when you click on it (4)<\/span>, a side menu will appear displaying all the configurable properties available. Simply fill in the fields based on the settings you want to apply.<\/p>

Once you\u2019re done, click the Save changes<\/span> button (5)<\/span> and deploy the policy to the selected group of devices\u2014the settings will be applied automatically.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
