About the role

We are a B2B SaaS company specializing in Mobile Device Management (MDM), and we’re looking to expand our engineering team with a skilled Apple (iOS/macOS) Engineer.

As an Apple Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our iOS and macOS agents, self-service apps, and background components. You’ll work with low-level APIs, distribution pipelines, and system services to deliver robust and scalable device-side solutions that enable businesses to manage and secure their Apple devices at scale.

Your contributions will directly enhance the reliability, security, and performance of our MDM platform, supporting thousands of enterprise users globally.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities

  • iOS/macOS Development: Design, build, and maintain the Applivery Agents and Self-service apps for iOS and macOS using Swift and Objective‑C.
  • System Integration: Interact with low-level iOS/macOS APIs to install apps, apply configurations, and enforce OS-level restrictions.
  • Distribution Pipelines: Build and manage distribution workflows for .ipa , .pkg , background scripts, and daemons.
  • Background Services: Develop and maintain macOS daemons and background tasks with a focus on stability and performance.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with backend and frontend teams to support OTA updates, feedback flows, and enterprise distribution systems.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, implement unit tests, and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for installation workflows and complex device configurations.

What you will need

Technical Requirements

  • Languages & Tools: Strong skills in Swift, Objective‑C, and Xcode.
  • Enterprise Distribution: Experience with MDM/UEM platforms and enterprise distribution methods (Enterprise, Ad-Hoc, TestFlight).
  • macOS Packaging: Competence in building and signing .pkg installers, scripting (bash/zsh/Python), and working with launchd.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with tools like Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
  • Autonomy: Self-driven, proactive, quick learner, and capable of working independently.
  • Communication: Fluent English (written and spoken) and clear communication of technical topics.

 

Bonus Points

  • Authentication & Security: Knowledge of SSO/SAML/LDAP, Apple security frameworks, FileVault, M-series chips, and system privacy settings.
  • Platform Expertise: Experience working with other MDM platforms like Intune, Jamf, Kandji, or App Center.
  • SDK/Policy Integration: Familiarity with Applivery SDK or similar tools and policy management flows.
