About the role

We are a B2B SaaS company specializing in Mobile Device Management (MDM), and we’re looking to expand our team with a talented Android Engineer.

As an Android Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and evolving and maintaining our Android Agent, Kiosk, DPC and other device-side solutions, empowering businesses to manage and secure their Android devices at scale.

Your work will directly impact the robustness, performance, and usability of our platform, helping clients unlock the full potential of their mobile fleets.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities

  • MDM Solutions: Work on our Android-based MDM solutions, focusing on device policy enforcement and remote configuration.
  • SDK Development: Design, develop, and maintain the Applivery Android SDK and other supporting libraries.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the backend and product teams to implement features aligned with enterprise requirements.
  • Clean Code: Build clean, efficient, and well-documented Kotlin code.
  • Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability across a wide range of devices.
  • Platform Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the Android platform, enterprise APIs, and MDM-related capabilities.

What you will need

Technical Requirements

  • Android Development: 1–3 years of experience in Android development, or equivalent hands-on experience through projects or internships.
  • Kotlin Expertise: Solid knowledge of Kotlin and Android SDK fundamentals.
  • Enterprise APIs: Understanding of Android Enterprise APIs, Device Policy Controller (DPC) apps, or a strong interest in enterprise use cases.
  • SDK Development: Experience or strong interest in developing SDKs with clean APIs, backward compatibility, and integration support.
  • Architecture Patterns: Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architectural approaches.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency with Git and basic understanding of CI/CD workflows.
  • Code Quality: Ability to write testable, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Communication: Strong English communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

 

Bonus Points

  • Jetpack Compose & Modularization: Experience with Jetpack Compose or modular app architectures.
  • MDM & Device Admin: Previous exposure to Mobile Device Management, Kiosk Mode, or Device Admin APIs.
  • Library Integration: Experience publishing or integrating Android libraries.
  • Security & Privacy: Understanding of enterprise security and privacy practices.
  • Community Contributions: Contributions to open-source Android projects or relevant technical blogs.

  • Language Proficiency: Full fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive Mindset: Ability to tackle challenges with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Self-Learner: Passion for learning new technologies and adopting modern practices.
