Ukio, a rapidly expanding company redefining flexible stays in Europe, faced the challenge of centralizing and professionalizing the management of its geographically dispersed device fleet.

Seeking a solution that could scale with its growth, Ukio implemented Applivery to achieve the centralized control, security, and efficiency needed to manage its multi-site operations.

Initial challenge

Ukio’s rapid growth across multiple European cities presented significant IT challenges, as manual management could not keep pace with the company’s scale and dispersion:

  • Inventory and traceability challenges: asset management and expansion made it difficult to track inventory and centralize control over company devices.

  • IT management limitations: with only one IT person supporting offices across all of Europe, the device provisioning process was manual. This created operational friction and stood in the way of a unified and efficient policy deployment.

  • Need to strengthen security: the lack of rigorous control over user-downloaded applications in such a distributed environment created a vulnerability, resulting in a security incident that impacted operations. This event prompted the search for a robust MDM solution to secure the fleet.

The solution

Applivery was integrated to provide modern, unified, and efficient management:

Ukio chose Applivery for its speed and ease of use compared to other slow or complex options. The onboarding process was completed quickly and effectively, leading to rapid platform adoption by the IT team.

Apple Business Manager (ABM) was utilized for automated enrollment and unified, centralized policy deployment across all Apple devices, efficiently managing multiple locations.

App distribution policies were implemented to mitigate malware risks, and the “Lost Mode” (Anti-theft) feature was activated to protect and recover assets. Additionally, Applivery provided enhanced inventory control.
