Small refinements, major impact: september´s updates

Important update for Apple Device Management

Starting September 22, 2025, Apple will require administrators to accept new terms and conditions within Apple Business Manager.

If an administrator from your organization has not yet accepted these new terms, your ability to enroll new devices is currently paused. This will prevent you from adding any new devices until the agreements are accepted.  The agreements that require acceptance include:

📱 iOS and iPadOS software license agreement.

💻 macOS software license agreement.

📺 tvOS software license agreement.

👓 visionOS software license agreement.

🏢 Apple Business Manager agreement.

The main updates to the Apple Business Manager Agreement include refined definitions, important regulatory updates for organizations in the European Union, and other clarifications to improve readability. For a full breakdown, we recommend reviewing Apple’s support article.

Android Device Management made easier

We’re excited to announce an improvement in manual enrollment for Android devices!

🆕 Toggle system apps removal

Now, when creating a manual enrollment, you can choose to remove all system apps with a simple switch — just like in our Smart Enrollments.

This gives you more control and keeps your devices clean and ready for work in just a few clicks!

Important update: new user roles for the Android Zero-Touch portal

The Zero Touch Costumer Portal has been updated to provide more granular control over user access. You can now assign three new roles—Manager, Assigner, and Viewer—to precisely define each user’s capabilities within the portal.

Zero Touch role capabilities

This update makes it easier to follow the principle of least privilege and secure your deployment workflow. For a step-by-step guide on how to assign these new roles, please see the official Help Center article.

Restrict traditional login at dashboard level

Based on your feedback, we’ve launched a new security option for teams that rely on SSO and SCIM.

You can now restrict traditional password-based logins for all team members, ensuring a consistent and secure authentication process. With this update, you can:

🚫 Restrict traditional login for everyone except the Workspace Owner (who keeps it as a recovery option).

✅ Keep all authentication flows fully centralized in your IdP.

🔒 Strengthen security and consistency across your organization.

This update provides the flexibility to maintain a recovery path while maintaining strict control over permissions and identity management.

Disable individual builds from distribution

Need to manage outdated app versions without losing your records? Our new “Disable Build” feature gives you the perfect solution. You can now make specific builds completely inaccessible to users while keeping them visible on your dashboard for traceability.

Here’s how it works. A disabled build:

✅ It will remain listed in your Dashboard for internal reference.

🚫 It will not appear in the App Store or MDM, even if it’s assigned to a policy.

🛡️ It will be blocked from download, users won’t be able to access or install it, even if it’s assigned to a policy.

📉 It will not be selectable as an available build in publications.

Disable Individual Builds from Distribution

This feature is ideal for archiving deprecated or outdated versions cleanly while maintaining a complete and visible version history for your team.

Ready to see it for yourself?

So that’s a wrap on our September updates—from preparing for the future with eSIM to locking down the present with new security controls.

But reading about control is one thing. Wielding it is another.

See it in action for yourself. Schedule a personalized demo and discover what’s possible when you have a platform designed to put you in command.
