Apps API Authentication

Apps API Authentication

In order to use the Applivery API, connect with CI&CD platform (such as, Fastlane or Azure DevOps) or integrate the Applivery SDK in your App, you will need your App Token.

Get App Token

As described in the introduction of this chapter, in order to interact with the Applivery API you may need to identify the App you want to interact with. Each App within Applivery can have one or multiple Tokens although by default there are none, so let’s start creating your first App Token.

Step 1 - Go to your App and create a new App Token

Select the App you want to interact with and then navigate to the “Settings” tab. Then go to “API Auth” section in the left side menu and click the “New Token” button. Enter a friendly name for your new token to easily identify it in the future, for instance “Bitrise CI” if you will use the token to deploy Apps into Applivery from Bitrise.

Step 2 - Use the App Token

Click on “Create” button to save and create your new token. Once ready, it will appear below the API Authentication title and you will be able to easily copy and paste it wherever you need it.

Invalidating an App Token

You can invalidate your App Token at any time by deleting it.

Please note that deleting a token has no way back. Once deleted, the action can not be restored and you will have to create a new token and update your API Authentication.

Select the App you want to remove the Token from and then navigate to the “Settings” tab. Then, scroll down to the API Authentication section and click the “Remove” button below the token. A confirmation message will be prompted. Click “OK” to confirm the action.
